I wish I had taken photos of the inside of the owner's house. He gave me a quick tour and I briefly met his teenage and younger daughter, as well as his wife. It was the most vibrant motel-owners home I'd seen yet - and it was clear that the owner's home and his commercial property were very distinct from one another, yet both seemed like a physical expression of the owner's energy and enthusiasm for the work and for the life that it brings him.
